This is huge and stands out amongst the pack of DLC and traditional console-exclusive content.

This is also a big deal because it could usher in an age in which PC mods are made popular on consoles.

Perhaps Grand Theft Auto, Skyrim, and other popular mods of games could find their way onto consoles.

It should also be noted that if these mods are Xbox One exclusive, it could forge a critical relationship with Bethesda down the road, perhaps meaning mods will be made available in the next Elder Scrolls installment and other Bethesda games.

There has been no confirmation on whether or not Fallout 4 mods will be on PlayStation 4, however, it appears that the mods will be Xbox One exclusive.

I am excited that these mods are coming to console, and cannot wait for PS4 and Xbox to be on equal footing in terms of mods being available for the gamer.

Mods for Fallout could usher in a new kind of gaming community on console. However, after the recent Steam-Skyrim debacle, will Bethesda try to charge people for mods at some point down the line?
