The announcement trailer confirmed the game for PS4, Xbox One and PC, but in the relatively new console cycle it’s not uncommon for developers to produce scaled back versions of blockbuster titles for those that haven’t yet taken the next-gen plunge.
However, Bethesda has made it clear that this will not be the case for Fallout 4, either at launch or at any point in the future.
In a post on NeoGAF, Bethesda Community Manager Matt Grandstaff suggested that the team has big things in store for the fourth instalment of the hugely popular series that just wouldn’t be feasible on PS3 and Xbox 360.
Fallout 4 takes place in a post-apocalyptic Boston. A release date is expected to be revealed during Bethesda’s very own E3 press conference taking place in LA on June 14.
